Cal Lutheran freshman defender Shaw Nishizawa earned his first SCIAC Athlete of the Week (AOW) in the men's soccer defensive category. Nishizawa is recognized with this honor after a strong week for the Kingsmen in their away games versus Pomona-Pitzer and CMS.

The freshman from Maple Valley, WA played all 90 minutes in both of this week's matchups, highlighting his crucial impact on the field. The game against Pomona-Pitzer resulted in a 0-0 draw, while the game against CMS finished with a 2-1 win for the Kingsmen.
