Cal Lutheran fired off a couple shots around the 60-minute mark, but neither were able to hit as the Tigers played sound defense throughout the game. The Kingsmen recorded six shots (two on goal) without any corner kick attempts.
Kane Reese and
Shaw Nishizawa were the two Cal Lutheran players to shoot on goal, while goalkeeper
Isaak Tanaka collected five saves in the effort.
The Tigers proved a tough road test early in the season for the Kingsmen, as they entered the contest ranked #20 in the most recent coaches poll.
Cal Lutheran will move on to its next game in Colorado, a neutral-site affair against Whitman, who is traveling in from Washington. The Kingsmen will take on the Blues this Sunday morning on the campus of Colorado College.
