RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Cal Lutheran women's golf team opened its spring campaign with a fifth-place showing at the West Coast Classic, held at Canyon Crest Country Club on February 9 and 10. The Regals finished the two-day tournament at +85.
Anna Poulin and
Caroline Morris paced Cal Lu, each tying for 19th overall with scores of +17. Poulin turned in rounds of 82 (+10) and a team-low 79 (+7) on the second day, while Morris posted scores of 81 (+9) and 80 (+8).
The Purple & Gold recorded a 331 in the first round and shaved one stroke off that total with a 330 in the final round.
Tori Ruiz compiled a +22 tournament total after rounds of 84 and 82.
Kaylie Hesse (+29) and
Lily Stern (+31) completed the team lineup, while
Julia Booth (+32) and
Harlee Samp (+46) competed as individuals for the Regals.
Cal Lutheran returns to action on February 21 and 22 when it hosts SCIAC No. 1 at Olivas Links in Ventura, California.
