Sophomore attacker Miya Avila has earned SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors, as announced by the SCIAC on Monday afternoon. 

This marks Avila's first such honor this season.  

This is the second time a Regals lacrosse player has earned Defensive AOW honors this season and fourth AOW overall. 

Avila was lockdown in the Regals' 15-13 win over Occidental on Saturday, securing 5 ground balls and a team-leading 3 caused turnovers, both career highs, while adding a pair of goals on the offensive side of the ball.
