Cal Lutheran women's basketball slotted in at #22 in the first WBCA Coaches Poll of the regular season after starting 4-0, including a home victory over Texas Lutheran, who received votes in the same poll.

Coming off a SCIAC Tournament Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament, the Regals return three 2024 All-SCIAC players in Janna Holley, Alline Ballard, and Kaiya Mack. Freshman Kaitlyn Brongiel was already named SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week. Cal Lutheran was voted atop the SCIAC Preseason Poll, and they have backed up that recognition so far in the early going.

Cal Lutheran defeated NAIA-opponent La Sierra yesterday to improve to 5-0, and it doesn't play another countable game until it hosts Whittier on December 3 for the SCIAC opener.
