CLAREMONT, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's cross country sent seven runners to compete at the NCAA West Regionals at the Pomona-Pitzer campus course on Saturday morning. It was the third time this season that the Kingsmen ran that course, but this time it was in some of the most brutal weather conditions in recent memory with heavy rainfall and flooding taking place.

George Gaitanis,
Thomas Illson,
Tristan Kanner,
Adrian Rodriguez,
Diego Romero,
Daniel Velasquez, and
Jacob Witt onto the course.
For the third-straight race, Kanner, a freshman, set a personal best with a time of 28:58.7. He was Cal Lutheran's top finisher at 138th individually.
Velasquez (29:30.4), Witt (30:04.3), Romero (30:25.7), and Rodriguez (30:26.6) finished not far behind.
Illson set a course best at 30:36.9, and Gaitanis ended at 31:49.8.
Cal Lutheran finished in 23rd as a unit in its final race of the 2025 season.
