Kingsmen Set Four Personal Bests at Pomona-Pitzer Invite

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's cross country competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite on Saturday morning. The 8K course looped around Pomona-Pitzer's campus as the Kingsmen finished 17th out of 20 placing teams. Adrian Rodriguez led Cal Lutheran with a time of 28:36.8.

The Kingsmen set four personal bests as Daniel Velasquez (28:39.2), Vincent May (29:47.6), Diego Romero (30:03.1), and Noah Mullins (32:04.9) ran outstanding races.

Ian Skrinde set a course best at 35:10.5 as the Pomona-Pitzer course is a familiar one for the cross country program.

Yesterday's race marked the first of three this season at the Pomona-Pitzer course, as the SCIAC Championships and the NCAA West Regionals will both be at the same course.

Cal Lutheran's next race will be the Highlander Invite in Riverside on the morning of October 18.
