ESTACADA, Oregon – The Cal Lutheran men's and women's cross country teams concluded their 2024 season at the NCAA Division III West Regionals on Saturday morning.
The teams raced at Milo McIver State Park in Estacada, Oregon with Lewis & Clark College being the host school. The Kingsmen placed 22nd with 602 points while the Regals came in 20th with 498.
Eric Talbert finished first for the Kingsmen, running his fastest regional meet time in his college career. He was 91st, clocking a time of 26:26.5.
Logan Bury was the next Kingsman to finish, right behind Talbert in 117th with 27:10.6. His time was also a career regional-best.
Also competing for the men was
Sebastian Sawyer in 119th with 27:12.8,
Adrian Rodriguez in 131st with 27:31.3, Nic Moore in 163rd with 29:38.1, and
George Gaitanis in 165th with 30:04.6
The top finisher yet again for the Regals was
Summer Gelman. She placed 20th with 21:55.0, earning her an All-Region honor.
The Regals had five more racers as
Nataly Tello was 94th with 24:03.4,
Cora Hautekeete was 111th with 24:31.2, Ali Orwin was 123rd with 24:45.2,
Angelina Diaz was 163rd with 26:11.3, and Ellie Sinclair was 169th with 26:29.8.
All six Regals ran lifetime personal bests in the 6k race.
This meet marks the end of the 2024 season for the Kingsmen and Regals. Both teams will now enter the offseason, looking to build on this year's successes and carry them into 2025.
