BEAUMONT, California – Cal Lutheran women's golf traveled east to the Morongo Golf Course at Tukwet Canyon to compete in the 2024 Bulldog Fall Invitational. Hosted by fellow SCIAC member University of Redlands, the Regals finished fifth of eight teams in the two-day, two-round tournament. Cal Lutheran was represented by Ashley Zook, Brooke Alderson, Anna Poulin, Maya Dela Rama, and Caroline Morris. Morongo GC plays as a par 72 with an even par 36 on both the front and back nines.
Poulin impressed early, finishing with a 37 on the front nine in round 1 in part to an eagle on the par-5 hole 9. She parlayed that with a birdie beforehand on the par-5 hole 4, and Poulin eventually finished the round with a 77 to lead the Regals. Dela Rama contributed three birdies on her way to a 78, which Zook matched thanks to two birdies. Alderson and Morris both scored 79s with one and two birdies, respectively, giving Cal Lutheran a well-balanced first day of the tournament.
Zook caught fire on the front nine in round 2, dropping in a ridiculous five birdies on her way to a 34. She would finish with a 74 on the day. Alderson and Poulin played consistent golf, with neither scoring anything worse than a bogey in the round. Alderson managed two birdies to end with a 75 while Poulin ended with a 77.
Overall, Cal Lutheran finished fifth at +43 with individual scores of: Zook +8, 8th; Alderson +10, 17th; Poulin +10, 17th; Dela Rama +15, 27th; and Morris +17, 31st. This marked the Regals' final tournament of the fall season.
