PASADENA, Calif. - Cal Lutheran men's soccer scored three goals in the final 15 minutes during a 4-0 shutout road win over Caltech. Enrique Zaragoza scored in the first half before the offense poured it on late in regulation.

A pair of CLU's goals came off corner kicks with the first served in by Raul Yepez. Zaragoza headed in the game's opening goal with just under eight minutes left before halftime.

Cal Lutheran took 18 of its 25 shots in the second half including 10 over the final 15 minutes.

"We were nervous for a bit," said Head Coach Dan Kuntz as he watched his Kingsmen looking to pad their advantage. "Once we got that second goal in we were able to take control."

That second goal came courtesy of an Ivan Sanchez header who finished off the cross inside the penalty area from Zaragoza at the 75 minute mark.

Cal Lutheran's Josh Hibbert converted a penalty kick just over two minutes later adding another insurance score. It was the first time the Kingsmen have scored on a penalty kick in four tries this season.

In the 84th minute Luis Santana capped the scoring following Yepez's corner kick and a Taylor Pascoe assist. Yepez contributed a pair of assists against the Beavers while Pascoe earned his team-leading fourth on the season following the Santana score.

Rey Rivera-Ramos made three saves to pick up his second solo shutout of the season. Counterpart Wesley Swank made six stops in the loss.

Cal Lutheran (2-12-0, 2-8-0 SCIAC) will host Chapman on Monday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. It will be the first time CLU men's soccer will play at the newly constructed William Rolland Stadium.
