LA VERNE, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's swimming and diving (2-4, 2-4 SCIAC) went on the road against #22 CMS (4-2, 3-1 SCIAC) and La Verne (0-7, 0-7 SCIAC) in a SCIAC double-dual meet on Saturday, with the Kingsmen beating La Verne 195-55 and losing to CMS 222-70.
Sebi Petho continued to excel with an individual first-place, and the Kingsmen collected five second-place finishes.
Petho garnered his first-place finish in the 1000y freestyle with a time of 10:01.27. He would later add a second-place finish in the 500y freestyle at 4:51.18.
Tristan Serrano swam the 100y freestyle in 49.97, good enough for a second-place finish.
McKay Nelms finished second in the 200y backstroke with a time of 2:00.26.
Kyle Lee gave the Kingsmen another second-place individual finish, swimming the 200y breaststroke in 2:12.74.
To conclude the meet, the Kingsmen 200y freestyle relay team of
Andreas Nordlund,
Connor Overton, Serrano, and
Ian Reece got second place with a time of 1:27.07.
Cal Lutheran will take a week off before continuing its SCIAC season with a dual meet at Occidental on January 31.
