LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's swimming and diving closed the final road meet of the regular season on Saturday with a 182-102 victory over Occidental.
The Kingsmen claimed 11 of the meet's 16 events, highlighted by strong performances in both the pool and on the boards.
Zach Zauhar-Kurr led Cal Lutheran with three individual wins, taking first in the 200-yard butterfly (1:58.62), 200-yard breaststroke (2:08.45), and 200-yard IM (1:56.63) to rank among the program's top 10.
Distance swimmer
Sebi Petho captured first place in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:30.40 and added a second-place finish in the 500-yard (4:50.84).
Sprint victories came from
Andreas Nordlund, who swept the free events by winning the 50-yard (21.40) and 100-yard (47.31).
Connor Overton earned a win in the 100-yard backstroke at 55.21, while
McKay Nelms claimed first in the 200-yard with a time of 1:58.95.
Tristan Serrano contributed an individual victory in the 100-yard fly, touching first in 53.41, and also placed second in the 200-yard frees with a time of 1:47.18.
Cal Lutheran added a relay win in the 200-yard free, as Serrano, Nordlund, Overton, and Patterson combined for a season-best time of 1:26.08. The Kingsmen also placed second in the 200-yard medley relay (Overton, Lisenby, Lavery, and Nordlund, 1:37.13).
In diving,
Camden Franjieh scored for the Kingsmen in both events, placing second in the one-meter dive with 303.65 points and winning the three-meter event with a score of 316.60.
The Kingsmen will conclude the regular season at home on Senior Day, hosting Chapman on Saturday, February 7. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Samuelson Aquatics Center.
