SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Cal Lutheran women's cross country ran the 6k at The Master's XC Invitational on Saturday morning, finishing in 15th place.
Summer Gelman led the Regals with a time of 23:15.7 while three Regals set lifetime personal records and two more set course bests.
After a few weeks off since beginning the season in Ventura in late August, the Regals started their 8k at 8:45am in Santa Clarita. Gelman placed 28th to pace Cal Lutheran, then
Alexis Gonzalez and
Ellie Sinclair finished at 25:28.3 and 25:30.8, respectively. Sinclair's run was a lifetime PR.
Jackie Prieto and
Kendall Fleming also collected lifetime PRs at 27:45.6 and 30:52.9, respectively.
Angelina Diaz and
Dinkenesh Coltvet both achieved course bests at 26:45.6 and 30:48.6, respectively.
Gonzalez,
Sophie Wight,
Quinn Dubrul,
Belen Catalan, and
Louisa Augustine all competed in the first 6k of their Cal Lutheran careers.
The Regals will next compete at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite in Claremont on October 4.
