Stahl, Cooper Garner AVCA All-American Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Graduate students Michael Stahl and Jordan Cooper of Cal Lutheran men's volleyball were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America Teams, announced by the AVCA on Monday.

Last year, they were the first duo of Kingsmen to ever earn All-American honors as Stahl received Honorable Mention and Cooper landed on the Second Team. The roles were reversed this season with Stahl being named Second Team and Cooper claiming Honorable Mention.

Stahl (Northridge, Calif.) currently leads the team in kills with 358 total, and in kills per set with 3.73. His hitting percentage of .322 ranks second among the starting rotation. Stahl has also racked up 171 digs, 45.0 total blocks, and 15 service aces.

Cooper (Roseville, Calif.) follows closely behind Stahl with 349 total kills and 3.20 per set for a .271 percentage. He leads the team in aces with 43 this year, and has also contributed 160 digs and 57.0 total blocks.

The Kingsmen continue their season on Friday, April 25 in the NCAA Final Four. They face Springfield College at 4:30 PM PST in Salem, Virginia.
