THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's and women's swimming and diving swept the Occidental Tigers to celebrate their Senior Day on Saturday morning.
During the first break of the meet,

Tori Portillo were honored with speeches given by their teammates.
"Great day for the team!" said Head Coach
Barry Schreifels. "It was senior/grad day and they led the men's and women's teams to strong wins."
The Kingsmen defeated the Tigers 174-123 and took nine events, while the Regals won 199.5-98.5 and claimed eleven.
Hall won three individual events to lead the men. He was the first to touch the wall in the 100 and 200 breasts with 57.68 and 2:11.02 respectively, as well as the 200 IM with 2:00.05. Jack,
Valentino Soroor,
Ethan Lavery,
McKay Nelms, and
Evan Encell each added one individual win. Jack took the 200 free with 1:46.83, Soroor claimed the 100 back with 55.31, Lavery won the 200 fly with 2:01.71, Nelms took the 200 back with 2:02.30, and Encell was first in the 100 fly with 53.27.
Moffitt led the way for the women with three wins of her own. She took the 1000 free with 10:45.17, the 200 fly with 2:13.60, and the 500 free with 5:18.30.
Julia Benko,
Madi Bodhidatta, and
Brooke Blaylock also claimed two events apiece. Benko was first in the 100 and 200 back with 1:01.10 and 2:12.63, Bodhidatta won the 50 free with 24.55 and the 100 fly with 58.93, and Blaylock owned the diving events, taking the 1 meter with 233.1 points and the 3 meter with 276.6.
"Brooke qualified for the second time on the 3 meter, so she gets to compete at regionals on both the 1 meter and the 3 meter," added Diving Coach
Jennifer Vreeke.
The teams combined for three relay wins to round out the day.
Alana Tamura, Portillo, Bodhidatta, and Bracken claimed the 200 medley with 1:50.53, while Bodhidatta, Bracken,
Faith Timney, and Moffitt won the 400 free with 3:42.13. For the Kingsmen, Encell,
Andreas Nordlund,
Paul Patterson, and Jack took the 400 free with 3:12.78.
Next up, the teams travel to Chapman for their final dual meet before the SCIAC Championships. They will face the Panthers on Saturday, February 8th at 10:30 AM.
