CLAREMONT, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's and women's swimming and diving traveled to Claremont for a tri-meet with CMS and La Verne on Saturday morning. Both teams defeated the Leopards, but fell to the Stags and Athenas.
The Kingsmen and Regals combined for four event wins with the women winning three and the men claiming one.
Kendall Moffitt,
Breann Bracken, and
Madi Bodhidatta led the way for the Regals with one win each, while
Lincoln Hall had the lone Kingsmen victory.
"Kendall and Lincoln really led the team today," said Head Coach
Barry Schreifels. "Kendall went a lifetime best in the 200 fly (2:07.83) and is threatening the team record".
Following Moffitt's first place performance, Bracken stole the 50 free with 25.05 and Bodhidatta won the 100 free with 53.71.
For the men, Hall was the first to finish in the 100 breast with 57.73.
The teams also impressed for five runner-up finishes and were third in 13 more events. "After a difficult week, the team performed awesome," Schreifels added.
Cal Lutheran has a week off before diving back into competition. The teams will host Occidental for their Senior Day dual on Saturday, January 25 at 10:30 AM.
