Regals Softball Collects Five CSC Academic All-District Honors

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Five members of the Cal Lutheran softball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing their achievements both on the field and in the classroom. Brooke Strahm, Kalli Strahm, Jessica Waters, Danielle Diaz, and Mia Reveles all earned the honor for the Regals.

Brooke Strahm, a sophomore from Holtville, California, carries a 3.98 GPA as a political science major with an emphasis in law and public policy. One of just two Regals to play in and start all 37 games this season, Strahm served as Cal Lutheran's everyday second baseman while batting .316 at the plate. Defensively, she ranked second on the team in chances with 84 putouts and 70 assists. The recognition marks the first CSC honor of her career.

Kalli Strahm, a junior also from Holtville, California, owns a 3.91 GPA as a business accounting major. A key two-way contributor for the Regals, Strahm appeared in 22 games with 16 appearances in the circle, posting a 6-7 record across 78.0 innings pitched while throwing eight complete games. Offensively, she contributed four RBIs and four runs scored in 36 at-bats. Like her sister, the honor is the first of her career.

Waters, a junior first baseman from Spokane, Washington, maintains a 3.84 GPA as a data science major. A First Team All-SCIAC selection this season, she led the Regals with 22 RBIs, six home runs, 47 runs scored, and a .436 on-base percentage while batting .337 overall. Waters also posted a 1.018 OPS and anchored the defense at first base with a conference-best 257 putouts. A two-time SCIAC Athlete of the Week honoree this year, she earns CSC All-District honors for the second consecutive season.

Diaz, a junior from Northridge, California, carries a 3.72 GPA while majoring in criminology and criminal justice. The Regals' primary third baseman this season, Diaz played in 34 games and hit .320 while tying for the team lead with six doubles and ranking second on the team with 21 RBIs. A consistent presence in the middle of the lineup, Diaz also earns CSC All-District honors for the second straight year.

Reveles, a junior from Goleta, California, owns a 3.71 GPA as an exercise science major with an emphasis in human performance. In her first season with the Regals, the transfer outfielder immediately became a centerpiece of the lineup, batting .376 with 44 hits, 28 runs scored, and a 1.020 OPS. Reveles added five doubles, four triples, four home runs, and 12 stolen bases while starting 35 games as the team's everyday center fielder and leadoff hitter. Her four triples tied for the SCIAC lead, and she provided steady defense in center field throughout the season. The recognition is the first CSC honor of her career.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom across NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and either compete in 90 percent of their institution's games or start in at least 66 percent of games played. Pitchers must make at least 17 appearances or pitch 35 innings during the season.
