Greig, Franjieh Ready for NCAA Diving Regionals

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Cal Lutheran men's and women's swimming and diving programs will be represented on the national stage this weekend as Maddie Greig and Camden Franjieh compete at the 2026 NCAA Division III Diving Regionals. Competing in Region 2 (Midwest-South-West), the pair will travel to Atlanta, Georgia, where Emory University serves as host.

Greig represents the Regals in her final collegiate postseason appearance. The senior is coming off the highest SCIAC Championship finish of her career and officially secured her regional qualification at Cal Lutheran's Chris Knorr Invitational in early January. She will compete in a field of 24 female divers, with six NCAA Championship allocations available from the region.

On the men's side, Franjieh will compete for the Kingsmen after qualifying at the very beginning of the season, an impressive accomplishment in his first year of collegiate competition. Franjieh joins a 24-diver men's field that will contend for eight NCAA Championship spots.

The regional meet mirrors the order of events at the NCAA Championships. Friday will feature men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter competition, followed by men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter on Saturday. Competition is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. local time Friday and noon local time Saturday, with warmups earlier each day.

Divers earned their place at regionals by achieving the NCAA qualifying standard twice on the same board at two separate meets during the regular season or conference championships. Advancement to the NCAA Championships will be determined by finishing place at each board, with allocations awarded based on the region's assigned qualifying spots.

Cal Lutheran will be joined by fellow SCIAC competitors, as eight women and 12 men from the conference are slated to compete in Region 2.

With a senior looking to close her career on a high note and a freshman already making his mark, the Regals and Kingsmen head to Atlanta prepared to compete among the region's best with their sights set on a berth at nationals.
