LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Cal Lutheran women's swimming and diving turned in a dominant performance on Saturday, defeating Occidental 187-87 in the final road dual of the regular season.
The Regals claimed 11 of the meet's 16 events, earning victories across relays, sprints, strokes, and distance races.
Madi Bodhidatta led Cal Lutheran with three individual wins, finishing first in the 50-yard freestyle (24.02), 100-yard freestyle (52.97), and 100-yard butterfly (59.07).
Additional individual victories came from
Abbey Kantz, who won the 200-yard free in 1:59.67, and
Julia Benko, who swept both backstroke events with wins in the 100-yard (1:00.91) and 200-yard (2:12.40). Katie Lahood added a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.10.
Joli Fong claimed the 200-yard fly title at 2:18.45, while
Victoria Lawrence secured first place in the 500-yard free in 5:18.07. Lawrence also placed third in the 1650-yard free, touching in at 17:34.73.
Cal Lutheran earned two relay victories on the day, winning the 200-yard medley (
Alana Tamura, Lahood, Fong, and Bodhidatta, 1:50.30) and the 200-yard free (Fong, Kantz,
Callahan White, and Lawrence, 1:41.74).
In diving,
Maddie Greig competed in both events for the Regals, placing second in the one-meter (226.45) and three-meter (240.50) dives.
The Regals will conclude the regular season at home on Senior Day, hosting Chapman on Saturday, February 7. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Samuelson Aquatics Center.
