THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal Lutheran women's swimming and diving hosted the annual Chris Knorr Invite on Friday morning, competing against Concordia Irvine and Westmont.
Victoria Lawrence set a lifetime best, and diver
Maddie Greig qualified for NCAA Regionals. The Regals finished in second place as a team.
Greig scored a 418.05 in the 11-dive off the 1 meter, which marked her second qualifying score for NCAA Regionals, meaning she is now eligible to compete in the postseason for the 1 meter.
Three Regals won multiple individual events against their teammates–
Madi Bodhidatta, Katue LaHood, and Lawrence.
Bodhidatta took first in the 50y (24.47) and 100y (54.07) freestyles, as well as the 100y butterfly (59.80. LaHood won the 100y (1:11.41) and 200y (2:37.45) breaststrokes. Lawrence placed first in the 200y butterfly (2:14.77) and 500y freestyle (5:14.16). The 200y butterfly marked a lifetime best for Lawrence.
Cal Lutheran will be back in action next weekend when it hosts Caltech and Redlands in a SCIAC tri-meet on the morning of Saturday, January 10.
