THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's volleyball player Brendan Hom was named to this week's FrogJump Team of the Week, as announced on Tuesday.

The junior outside hitter led the Kingsmen to a 2-1 finish at the UC Santa Cruz Invitational, earning straight-set victories over Concordia (Wis.) and No. 7 Vassar.

Across three matches, Hom hit .203 while averaging 3.2 kills per set. He recorded a flawless performance against Concordia on Friday, posting nine kills without an error. Hom also set a new career high with 16 kills and 20.5 points in a four-set loss to No. 8 NYU.

Defensively, Hom contributed 21 digs and three total blocks, while adding nine service aces on the week, including five in the win over Vassar.

Hom and the Kingsmen return to action next weekend when they travel to Illinois for a five-match road trip. Cal Lutheran opens the slate against North Park on Thursday, January 29, at 4 p.m. PT (6 p.m. CT).
