Cal Lutheran sophomore Drew Nees earned SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors after a thrilling performance against Redlands on Saturday.

The outside linebacker from Portland, OR showed his defensive skills on the field with 6 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 1 interception during the matchup, helping the Kingsmen maintain control of the game and come out ahead with a final score of 27-10 to bring the Smudge Pot back to Thousand Oaks.

Nees leads the Kingsmen in tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, QB hurries, and interceptions this season.
