Cal Lutheran running back JD Sumlin earned recognition as this week's SCIAC Football Offensive Athlete of the Week (AOW) following his standout game against Puget Sound on Saturday.

In the Kingsmen's game against the Loggers, Sumlin tallied 191 rushing yards in 32 attempts. The 5'11" senior had a massive impact on the game, including a 20-yard touchdown run in the 3rd quarter to extend the Cal Lutheran lead.

Sumlin scored an impressive 4 touchdowns in Tacoma, where the Kingsmen won by a final score of 55-28.
