After four years with the Cal Lutheran women's volleyball program, Alec Bennett has been promoted to Associate Head Coach ahead of the 2025 fall season. He will retain his position as the current JV Head Coach.

A Cal Lutheran men's volleyball alum, Bennett originally joined the women's program by starting the JV program in the fall of 2021 before quickly being added to the varsity coaching staff as an assistant in the summer of 2022.

Head Coach Kellee Roesel "could not be more excited" to announce Alec's promotion. "His proven loyalty and love for the program is contagious. Alec has grown so much in his tenure here, and he is more than ready for this next phase in his coaching journey," said Roesel. "I simply cannot express the value that he has brought to Regals Volleyball and am thrilled to be a part of his progression as a head coach. No one is more deserving."

On his promotion, Bennett said, "Being part of Regals Volleyball has been an incredible journey. It has been one that has challenged me, helped me grow, and allowed me to succeed in a supportive and uplifting environment. I'm deeply grateful to Coach Kellee, Coach Judd, and Coach Carly for the strong foundation they've built and the constant support they provide. It is a privilege to step into this new role at Cal Lutheran. I look forward to carrying on the strong traditions and continued success of this program."
