Keegan Corley and
Kaylee Clayton were named First Team All-SCIAC after guiding Cal Lutheran women's volleyball to its first SCIAC Tournament appearance since 2022. On top of that, Corley earned the distinction of SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Year for her consistently elite play as the Regals' libero.
Clayton, a sophomore outside hitter from Morgan Hill, stepped up to lead her team in points (275.5), kills (236), and total attempts (679). Her 3.11 kills/set tied her for fifth in the SCIAC, while her 3.61 points/set landed her at seventh in the conference. Whenever the Regals needed a crucial point, Clayton would deliver as the go-to option of attack. Her explosiveness and natural bounce stood out at the top of the SCIAC.
The team captain and a junior libero from Corona, Corley put together a historic defensive season for Cal Lutheran. Her 527 digs were the second-most in single-season program history, and her 5.86 digs/set not only led the SCIAC, but tied her at 10th in the nation. She also led the Regals with 626 reception attempts (.947%) and tallied the third-most service aces with 28. Corley added 141 assists as the preferred option to orchestrate the Regals' attack after the setters.
Both Clayton and Corley make their first appearances as All-SCIAC honorees, and they are the first Cal Lutheran duo to be named First Team since 2022. Corley becomes the first Regals volleyball player to receive SCIAC Athlete of the Year recognition since recently-inducted Hall-of-Famer Michelle Lawrence in 2015.
