LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Cal Lutheran women's volleyball team has been honored with the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season, marking the 14th consecutive year the Regals have earned the prestigious academic distinction.

Presented by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), the Team Academic Award recognizes volleyball programs that maintain a year-long team grade-point average of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale. A total of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs earned the award this season.

The Regals finished the academic year with a 3.63 team GPA, and their continued excellence in the classroom was matched by success on the court. Cal Lutheran returned to the SCIAC Tournament for the first time since 2022 after posting an 18-7 overall record and an 11-5 conference mark, tying for third place in the SCIAC standings.

The Regals have now earned the AVCA Team Academic Award in 14 consecutive seasons, highlighting the program's longstanding commitment to excellence both academically and athletically.
