MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's and women's swimming and diving opened up day one of the SCIAC Championships on Wednesday, highlighted by a new program record in the 200 medley relay for the Regals.
Alana Tamura,
Tori Portillo,
Madi Bodhidatta, and
Breann Bracken placed fourth in the relay, setting the record with a time of 1:47.14.
The women ended the day at fifth place with 97 points.
Kendall Moffitt,
Cam Alexander,
Laine Gilluly, and Bracken were fourth in the 800 free relay with 7:49.19, and
Brooke Blaylock was seventh in the 3m dive with 363.4 points.
The Kingsmen are currently in sixth place with 73 points. The 800 free relay team was the top finisher of the day, as
Caelan Jack,
Evan Encell,
Sebi Petho, and
Andreas Nordlund placed fifth with 6:51.07.
Paul Patterson,
Lincoln Hall, Encell, and Nordlund were seventh in the 200 medley relay with 1:32.98, and
Levi Cook was the only Kingsman to dive, scoring 198.40 points off the 1m.
The teams will take on day two tomorrow, competing in the 1m dive (women's), 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, and the 200 free relay. Prelims are set for 9 AM.
