(PORTLAND, Ore. — Jan. 15, 2023) Cal Lutheran women's tennis wrapped up their Northwest Conference road trip with a 7-0 of Lewis & Clark on Monday night.
The Regals are 4-2 on the year with their only losses being by a small margin of 5-4 to two teams.
The Regals took control of the dual in doubles play, sweeping the Pioneers. Carmen Bufkin and Mina Ahmadi swept their competition winning 8-0 at the No. 1. The Regals continued to dominate as Kylee Limpias and Maddy Ford won 8-1 at the No. 2. It was 3-0 as Gerda Jucys and Kayla Kling went 8-5 at the No. 3.
The Regals continued to dominate in singles play. They won four matches and took the dual 7-0. Bufkin won 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 1, Ford won 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2, Luisa Garcia won 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 3, and Ahmadi won 6-3, 6-3.
Up next, the Regals will jump into conference play. The Regals are at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday with Pomona-Pitzer at 3 pm.
