ROCKLIN, Calif. – The Cal Lutheran women's tennis team continued its strong road play on Sunday morning, defeating NCAA Division II opponent Jessup University 4-0 in a shortened match after clinching victory.

With Jessup unable to field a full lineup, the Regals picked up wins by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. Cal Lutheran secured the doubles point shortly after, as Eva Toplak and Anaya Ayanbadejo clinched it with a 6-1 win at the No. 2 position, while Kylee Limpias and Anya Rajan also earned a 6-1 victory at No. 1.

Cal Lu carried that momentum into singles play, where three matches were in progress before the clinch. Ayanbadejo was the first Regal off the court, cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 to extend the team lead to 2-0. Toplak then sealed the match at No. 5 with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 performance to secure the fourth and final point.

Matches at No. 1 through No. 3 singles went unfinished once the Regals reached the four-point clinch.

Cal Lutheran will return home for its next match on Wednesday, March 25, when the Regals host Linfield at 3 p.m. at the Poulson Tennis Center. Cal Lu completed a 4-0 sweep of the Wildcats in Oregon last month.
