THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's and women's swimming and diving hosted Whittier on Saturday afternoon in their first home dual. The Kingsmen were victorious with a score of 175-65, and the Regals dominated 222-58.
Both teams combined for 24 first-place wins and another 24 second-place finishes among the 32 total events. The Regals brought home 14 of the top results while the Kingsmen had the remaining 10.
The Kingsmen and Regals shined in the relays, taking first in each of the four. In the 200 yard medley,

Breann Bracken led with a 1:52.29 followed closely by runner-ups
Maia Ciccarello,
Ava Holzkamp,
Ella Roberts, and
Faith Timney with 1:54.68.
Valentino Soroor,
Markus Stegbuchner,
Evan Encell,
Andreas Nordlund led the men with 1:37.21.
Bodhidatta, Bracken, Timney, and Kendall Moffit worked for first in the 400 freestyle finishing in 3:41.36, with Ciccarello,
Cam Alexander,
Noel Partridge, and Roberts finishing right behind at 3:49.40. On the men's side, Encell, Nordlund,
Sebi Petho, and
Caelan Jack took first with 3:13.35, and
Justin Setterberg,
Edgar Martinez,
McKay Nelms, and
Ethan Lavery followed up at 3:25.17.
Moffit, Benko, and Bodhidatta led the Regals with two individual wins each. Moffit won the 1000 yard freestyle (10:46.30) and the 200 butterfly (2:14.49), Benko took the 100 (1:02.38) and 200 yard backstrokes (2:15.27), and Bodhidatta was first in the 50 yard free (24.58) and 100 yard butterfly (59.14). Timney, Bracken, and Partridge each had one individual win in the 200 free, 100 free, and 500 free, respectively.
Stegbuchner and Encell each had two individual wins to lead the Kingsmen to victory. Stegbuchner won the 100 (59.71) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:10.85) while Encell won the 50 (21.93) and 100 yard free (47.54). Also taking first for the men were Petho in the 200 free, Nelms in the 200 backstroke, Lavery in the 100 butterfly, and Jack in the 200 IM.
Maddie Greig and
Brooke Blaylock had standout performances in the diving portion, as Greig won the 1 meter with 237.23 points and Blaylock was first in the 3 meter scoring 232.50.
The teams will continue the season at the Oxy Invite in Los Angeles on November 23rd and 24th at 10:00 AM.
