THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Carmen Bufkin and Fatima Nemi Revilla competed at the CSUN Invitational against Division I competition on Friday through Sunday. 

The event consisted of singles and doubles. All athletes played one singles and doubles match each day. 

The duo made some noise on day one, defeating a Division I team from Youngstown State 7-5. Youngstown won their conference last year and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. 

Individually, Bufkin won her singles match on Friday. She took down her Division I opponent from CSUN 6-2, 6-3. Nemi Revilla fought hard against her opponent from UTEP as she fell 3-6, 4-6. 

On day two, Bufkin had another strong match against the Division I competition. She faced an opponent from Youngstown State and took the first set 6-4. She was close the next two sets but fell 3-6 and 4-6. The Regals fell to UTEP 6-3 for their doubles match on Saturday. Nemi Revilla took on a Youngstown State opponent in her singles match. She battled as she was defeated 1-6, 1-6. 

For day three, the Regals fell in doubles play, as they were defeated 6-1 by CSUN. For singles, Nemi Revilla made some noise as she defeated her D1 opponent from the University of the Pacific. She shut out her opponent 6-0 in the first set and won the second 7-5. Bufkin would also defeat her Division I counterpart as she won against Youngstown State 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. 

The Regals wrap up their fall competition and turn their attention to the spring.
