HILO, Hawai'i - The Regals final Hawai'i match against DII opponent University of Hawai'i Hilo came down to a tiebreaker. The Purple and Gold were unable to pull out the win and ended their Hawai'i debut with a 3-4 loss. 

The Regals were swept in the doubles matches but came back and took three of the four singles matches. 

Carmen Bufkin was in the one-spot for the Regals and took her sets 7-5 and 6-1. Following her up was Brennan Foreman with a three-set battle in the two-spot. Foreman went down early with a 0-6 loss in the first set but bounced back and took set two 6-1 and set three 11-9. 

Luisa Garcia got a win in the four-spot with a score of 6-1 and 7-6 but it was the tie breaker with Sophia Gawrit in the three-spot that bested the Regals. 

Gawrit took set one 6-1 and then lost set two 7-6. Set three went to extra points and the opponent came out ahead 10-7. 

The Regals return home and play in the Ojai Regional Tournament on Thursday.
