THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Regals tennis hosted Hardin-Simmons in Poulson Tennis Center and ran away with and 8-1 victory.

Carmen Bufkin and Brennan Foreman outscored the Cowgirls 8-0 to start off the day. Following closely behind with an 8-5 win was Luisa Garcia and Carolina Groff Hinojosa.

Sophia Gawrit beat out HSU's number one spot 6-4 and 6-1. Groff Hinojosa fought until the end for her singles win. After being down 4-1, Groff Hinojosa closed out her match with a 7-3 tiebreaker.

Bufkin took her singles match with a 6-3 and 6-2 win. Foreman shut out her opponent 6-0 in the first match and 6-4 in the second. Garcia etched out the Cowgirls 7-5 in her first match and followed it up with a 6-2 win on the second.

Heidi Levanen was the final Regal to take a singles win today with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-3 battle.

The Regals play against Redlands Saturday at 10 am.
