Santa Cruz, Calif. – The Kingsmen opened up their spring season with a dual match against UC Santa Cruz. It was a tough opener as the Kingsmen were swept 9-0.
Darvel Lossangoye and Ryan Murphy partnered up for the first doubles match of the day but were defeated 8-4. Griffin Blarnat and Jacob Bear were also doubled up against the Banana Slugs in the second match. They kept it close but lost 8-6.
Nick Griffin and Yousef Manna were the final doubles team for the Kingsmen and they were defeated 8-3.
Bear took his singles match to three sets but was beat out in the end. The rest of the singles were swept by the Banana Slugs.
They return for their home opener on Sunday February 27th.
