PASADENA, Calif. - On the road in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action today, the Cal Lutheran men's tennis team was unable to return to the win column today falling 6-3 to Caltech.

Double action saw just a single point with No. 2 Chris Hartman and Lucas Tilly defeating the Pathireddy twins 9-8 (10-6) after rallying from a 4-1 deficit.

Trailing the team tally entering singles play, the Kingsmen were unable to find a rhythm, dropping the decision despite wins from the top two spots. At No. 1 Gio Valdez earned a 6-2, 6-3 win and at No. 2 Dara Kashani won a superbreaker 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) for the final CLU point of the day.

Tough battles took place all over the court with the sixth court also needing a third set though Tilly dropped a close 10-8 tiebreaker.

Cal Lutheran (1-2, 1-1 SCIAC) now has a stretch of seven non-conference matches that spans the entire month of March on tap. First for the Kingsmen will be a home contest against Christopher Newport (Va.) on Tuesday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m.
