SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - In the final dual match of the regular season the No. 4 Cal Lutheran men's tennis team was upended by the No. 10 UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs in Northern California this afternoon.

Cal Lutheran took an early 2-1 lead with both the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams earning victories, but in singles action it was the Banana Slugs who prevailed, winning four singles matches, while CLU nabbed just a pair.

Nicholas Ballou turned in a pair of points with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at number one singles, defeating Erich Koenig after he and doubles partner Ray Worley took down Koenig and George Goetz by an 8-4 margin to start the afternoon.

On the number two doubles court Alex Nichols and Connor Treacy teamed up for an 8-6 win, giving the Kingsmen an early match lead.

The final CLU point of the day came from the number five singles position where Thomas Millet beat Eli Scandalis 6-1, 6-0.
