Cal Lutheran matched its longest win streak of the season earning its third straight victory. The Kingsmen also won three-in-a-row for the fourth time during the 2012 campaign.
Ballou remained perfect in conference play after earning his fourth doubles and singles wins in SCIAC action this season. He teamed up with Ray Worley for an 8-2 win at first doubles and eased to a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Devashish Joshi in singles.
Cody Kowalczyk did not surrender a game on the day following an 8-0 doubles win with teammate Justin Wilson and a 6-0, 6-0 win at sixth singles. It is Kowalczyk's second singles win of the season without giving up a single game.
Worley matched Kowalczyk's effort at third singles while Wilson, Thomas Millet, and Marcelo Sousa each won their respective singles matches by 6-1, 6-0 scores.
The stage is currently set for Cal Lutheran (12-5, 4-0 SCIAC) to face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (15-6, 4-0 SCIAC) on Friday, April 20, in a battle for sole possession of the top spot in the league standings. However, the Kingsmen may face Whittier prior to that contest pending the announcement of a make-up date to the rained out match on Friday, April 13.
