THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - The No. 5 nationally ranked Cal Lutheran men's tennis team remained as one of two unbeatens in conference play following a 7-2 win on Saturday at the Poulson Tennis Center.

Cal Lutheran won all three doubles matches for the fourth time this season after Justin Wilson and Connor Treacy teamed up for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles. Nicholas Ballou and Ray Worley, along with Thomas Millet and Marcelo Sousa cruised to 8-3 wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.
Earlier this week Treacy became the fourth Kingsmen to be regionally ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) polls earning the No. 30 spot. He was impressive in his singles match with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the No. 4 slot.
Cal Lutheran clinched the match and took the first seven matches following straight set singles wins from Nicholas Ballou, Justin Wilson, and Thomas Millet. Ballou improved to 3-0 in conference singles competition along with Treacy following their victories.
Occidental (11-7, 0-5 SCIAC) picked up the final two points following singles wins by Jeremy Shapiro and Ben Harrington-Gilmore. Both won the third and deciding set including a third set tiebreak victory for Shapiro at second singles.
Cal Lutheran (11-5, 3-0 SCIAC) will be on the road Monday, April 16, against Caltech (0-11, 0-4 SCIAC). The Kingsmen are currently tied atop the conference standings with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (14-6, 3-0 SCIAC) whom is schedule to play Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday evening.
