THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Junior forward
Alline Ballard of the Cal Lutheran women's basketball team was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 10 First Team, the site announced on Monday.
Ballard earns First Team honors after being named Second Team All-Region last season and is now eligible for selection to the D3hoops.com All-America team, which will be announced prior to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship on March 21.
Ballard put together one of the most dominant seasons in program history in 2025-26, averaging 14.9 points and 11.4 rebounds per game while leading the Regals in both categories. The junior ranked among the SCIAC leaders across multiple statistical categories and was named SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Year after establishing herself as one of the conference's most unstoppable presences in the paint.
Ballard recorded 17 double-doubles in 24 games this season, producing a double-double in more than two-thirds of Cal Lutheran's contests, including an 11-game streak that stretched from mid-November through early January.
During the season, Ballard also reached major career milestones. She joined Cal Lutheran's 1,000-point club in mid-January and later became the program's all-time leader in career rebounds during the SCIAC Tournament Semifinal against Redlands, surpassing the previous record with her 12th rebound of the game.
Ballard consistently delivered in the Regals' biggest matchups as well. She posted an 18-point, 14-rebound double-double against Redlands on January 31 and scored 20 points with 13 rebounds in just 20 minutes against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps before exiting with an injury. After missing three games in early February, she returned for the postseason and recorded a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double in the SCIAC Tournament Championship game.
This marks the 25th season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams. A total of 797 players were nominated nationwide by sports information directors, with voters selecting honorees within each region. Players selected to the All-Region teams are automatically eligible for consideration for the site's All-America honors.
