CLAREMONT, Calif. — Five separate Regals found the score sheet in a battle with No. 15 Pomona-Pitzer, in which Cal Lutheran fell 23-6.
Malina Diaz scored twice,
Madison Soforenko recorded an assist and a goal, and Syndee Hill assisted on two goals.
Bella Bravo tallied ten saves in goal.
The Regals found themselves in an early hole, down by 11 at the end of the first quarter. Cal Lutheran responded in the second and scored twice as
Josie Oparanaku and Diaz beat the goalie to put the Regals on the board.
Cal Lutheran was neck-and-neck with the Sagehens throughout the rest of second half. The third quarter was tied 3-3 thanks to Diaz's second goal of the game and scores from Soforenko and
Meghan Angus. In the fourth,
Sydney Shin was able to rattle the back of the net for a goal to cap off the scoring for the Regals.
