THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal Lutheran women's tennis celebrated senior night on Tuesday evening, facing Pomona-Pitzer. Those honored included

Mina Ahmadi,
Carmen Bufkin, and
Luisa Garcia.
The Regals lost 7-0 to a talented Sagehens roster, which entered the day ranked #6 in the nation.

Evelyn Oltmans faced off against the #7-ranked duo in the West Region in the #2 doubles spot, falling 6-2.
In the #1 spot, Ahmadi/Bufkin played in their final home match as a duo against the #1-ranked pairing in the West Region, losing 6-2.
Anya Rajan/Garcia played in the #3 spot, and they were defeated 6-4. Pomona-Pitzer would enter the singles matches up 1-0.
Jucys made her 2025 singles debut in the #3 spot against the #8-ranked player in the West Region. She dropped her match 6-1, 6-1.
In the #6 spot, Oltmans lost 6-4, 6-2.
Luisa Garcia was defeated 6-2, 6-3 in the #5 spot. In the #4 spot, Limpias fell 6-2, 6-4.
Facing the #13-ranked player in the West Region, Rajan dropped her match 6-3, 6-0 in the #2 spot.
In the final home match of her illustrious career at Cal Lutheran, Bufkin opposed the #1-ranked player in the West Region. She got off to a hot start, but was unable to hold on, losing her match 7(7)-6(4), 6-4. It marks the first loss in 2025 for Bufkin, and her first loss since facing off against the same opponent in September 2024.
The Regals dropped to 6-7 on the year and will finish up their regular season on the road at #16 Caltech on Saturday, April 19 at 10am.
