THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal Lutheran men's volleyball is set to host the Cal-Lu-Fornia Invitational on March 13-15. This year, the tournament features Marian University, No. 15 UC Santa Cruz, North Park University, and Illinois Tech.

NO. 7 CAL LUTHERAN: The Kingsmen are going into this week at 14-4 after recent battles with UC Santa Barbara and CSUN, two tough Division I squads. They are hitting .272 as a team and have held their opponents to a .212 percentage. 

Michael Stahl leads the offense with 3.58 kills per set for a .293 attack clip. Jordan Cooper follows closely with 3.18 kills per set and a team-leading 23 service aces. Defensively, Libero Braden Gonzales holds a team-high 2.70 kills per set, and Borys Horiuk is first in blocks with 56 on the year.

MARIAN: The Sabres are currently 9-8 and are coming off a 3-1 win over Edgewood. They're hitting .194 in comparison to their opponent's .199 percentage.

Derek Wills leads the team with 3.16 kills per set for a .218 attack, and is also first in digs with 118 digs. Keanu Ouranitsas-Hayes has seen the majority of the work at the net with a team-high 40 blocks.

NO. 15 UC SANTA CRUZ: The Banana Slugs are 14-5 on the season and are currently riding a seven game winning streak. Their last loss came to St John Fisher at the Baldwin Wallace Tournament on January 26. 

UCSC is hitting .269 percent and holds its opponents to just .190, led by standout junior Riley Norman. He is first in kills per set with 3.21, service aces with 30, and digs with 123. At the net, Ethan Makishima leads with 45 total blocks.

NORTH PARK: The Vikings are 9-8 going into this week after recent losses to No. 4 Carthage and No. 18 North Central. They hold a .195 team attack percentage and have allowed their opponents to a .208 clip.

Gerald Malana leads the offense with 2.59 kills per set and 21 service aces, while Noah Chanthalangsy and Sam Robinson hold down the defense with 2.88 digs per set and 0.83 blocks per set, respectively.

ILLINOIS TECH: The Scarlet Hawks are 8-9 and have won their last four straight games, sweeping three of those four opponents. They're hitting .172 and allow their opponents to a .230 percentage.

Riley Laite leads the team in kills per set with 3.88 and in service aces with 33 total. Alec Donald is first in digs with 154 on the year, and Colten Farrell leads in blocks with 43.
