AUSTIN, Tex. – Cal Lutheran women's and men's tennis continued their Texas road trip on Sunday afternoon against Concordia Texas in Austin. The Regals continued dominating their out-of-state competition with their third sweep in three matches, while the Kingsmen lost 4-3 in a close one.
Picking up where they left off yesterday, the Regals shut out the Tornados in all three doubles matches.

Luisa Garcia all won 6-0 in convincing fashion. Make that two straight doubles bagels for the duos of Bufkin/Ahamdi and Ford/Limpias.
Quickly up 1-0 in the match, the Cal Lutheran women would keep rolling in singles. Bufkin, Rajan, Ford, Limpias, Garcia, and
Evelyn Oltmans would all take home victories to give the Regals a 7-0 final advantage. Rajan was the only one to drop a set, and she won both the first and third sets 6-1.
The Regals moved to 3-1 on the season with 7-0 wins in all three of their matches in Texas.
The men faced a talented opponent in Concordia, as the Tornados boasted the #25 singles player in the nation in Steven Scholz. The Kingsmen battled in the doubles matches, but they weren't able to get a win and dropped the first point.
In singles,
Ethan Sherwood continued his impressive start to the season, comfortably beating Scholz 6-3, 6-4.
Carlo Drewelow won his match handily, 6-0, 6-1.
Andy Ai added another victory to his collection, winning 6-4, 5-7, 6-1.
Raphael Simon and
Frederick Otto each stole a set in their matches, but in the end it wasn't enough. The Kingsmen dropped the match 4-3, moving them to 2-2 on the year.
Both teams will close out their stints in Texas early tomorrow morning at Howard Payne at 8am PT, 10am local time.
