COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Ethan Guereca and Levi Cook had a pair of hat tricks, 10 different Kingsmen found the back of the net, and Cal Lutheran men's polo kicked off the Rare Air Challenge with a dominant 17-9 win over Biola University on Friday evening. 

Guereca and Cook highlighted the scoring with three goals each. Cormac Flanders, Lincoln Hall, and Zane Hermann all scored two goals while Kayden Sourbeer, Justin Boals, Nic Mastropoalo, Tommy Riffle, and Alan Castillo added a goal each. 

The Kingsmen (2-3) set the tone early, Guereca scoring the opening goal a minute-and-a-half into the contest. Cook followed with another, and Cormac Flanders added a third goal at 2:20. 

The Eagles (1-6) fought back in the second period, but Cook quickly responded for the Kingsmen. The teams traded goals throughout the period and at the half, Cal Lutheran held a 8-5 advantage.

The third period was all purple and gold. Hall opened with a goal at 7:27, and Cook, Sourbeer, and Mastropoalo continued the scoring spree. The Eagles failed to score in the third, allowing the Kingsmen to extend their lead to 12-5. The Eagles scored four goals in the fourth, but the Kingsmen kept pace with five of their own to seal the victory.
