CLAREMONT, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's lacrosse hit the road for a SCIAC matchup as they fell to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 27-4 on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Regals fall to 4-9 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
The Regals scored the first game as Sydney Shin got her team on the board. CMS responded with 11 straight goals and took a commanding lead. The Regals scored three straight to end the quarter as Madison Soforenko and Giselle Bonilla added a goal. The other goal came as a team goal.
The Athenas turned things up a notch in the final three quarters and held the Regals scoreless. The Athenas scored six goals in the second, four in the third, and sixth in the fourth as they took the game.
Shin led the team with two ground balls, and Malina Diaz had four draw controls. Bella Bravo was in goal and made 10 saves.
The Regals are back in action on Wednesday and are at Chapman at 7 pm.
