WHITTIER, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's tennis was on the road as they swept the Whittier Poets 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Regals dominated from start to finish as they improved to 9-4 overall. They won their second straight SCIAC dual and moved to 2-1 in conference play.
The Regals started the match by taking all three doubles matches. Mina Ahmadi and Carmen Bufkin won 8-4 at the No. 1 spot, Maddy Ford and Kylee Limpias won 8-1 at the No. 2, and Luisa Garcia and Kayla Kling won 8-3 at the No. 3.
The Regals continued to sweep through singles and the dual. Garcia won 6-3, 0-6, 10-5 at the No. 1, Ford won 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 2, Fatima Nemi Revilla won 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 3, Kling won 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 4, Limpias won 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 5, and Anya Rajan won 6-0, 6-3 at the No. 6.
The Regals are back in action on Friday as they head to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps for a dual at 6 pm.
