REDLANDS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's lacrosse was on the road as they fell to the Redlands Bulldogs 24-14 on Saturday afternoon. 

Sydney Shin led the way with four goals and Josie Oparanaku, Giselle Bonilla, and Malina Diaz had a hat trick.  

Oparnaku led the defense with five ground balls and Shin and Diaz were next with four. Shin had a team-high three caused turnovers and Sydnee Hill, Oparanaku, and Diaz had two each. Shin continued to shine as she recorded three draw controls and Meghan Angus and Madison Soforenko had two. 

The Bulldogs scored the first goal of the game. Shin and Bonilla responded with back-to-back goals to give the Regals their first lead of the game. The Bulldogs took over for the rest of the quarter and midway through the second as they used a 12-1 run to go up 13-3. 

The Regals fought back, scoring five of the final seven goals of the half, and cut the lead to 15-8 going into the break. The Bulldogs answered in the third quarter. The Regals scored the first point but the Bulldogs scored the next eight and took a commanding lead. Redlands coasted the rest of the way and took the game.
