GLENSIDE, Pa. — No. 4 Cal Lutheran men's volleyball wrapped up their Pennsylvania trip by sweeping Lancaster Bible but falling to Arcadia in five sets on Saturday afternoon. The Kingsmen are now 11-3 on the year.
In the sweep of Lancaster Bible, Michael Stahl had 18 kills with a .517 hitting percentage and Jordan Cooper had 14 with .440. Taylor Marks recorded a double-double to lead the offense and defense. He totaled 33 assists and 10 digs. The Kingsmen controlled the match, winning by scores of 25-14, 25-16, and 25-17.
The match with Arcadia had the Kingsmen playing in their third five-set match of the year. It was their first loss in a five-setter as scores were 27-29, 25-15, 25-13, 23-25, 11-15.
Cooper led the way with 16 kills, while hitting .375, and added six aces. Vince Semon was next with 14 kills, Borys Horiuk had nine, and Stahl recorded eight. Marks kept the offense rolling with 49 assists, Horiuk had four total blocks, and Stahl had eight digs.
The Kingsmen have 12 days off before getting back on the court. They host Division I UC Santa Barbara on February 15th at 7 p.m.
