(CLAREMONT, Calif. — Jan. 15, 2023) Cal Lutheran women's tennis opened their conference play against No. 3 Pomona-Pitzer and fell 9-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Regals dropped to 4-3 and look to rebound next week. 

In singles play, Carmen Bufkin and Mina Ahmadi battled to the very end but came up just short 7-8 (4-7). Kylee Limpias and Maddy Ford lost at the No. 2 and Luisa Garcia and Kayla Kling fell at the No. 3. 

The Sagehens completed the sweep as Bufkin fell at the No. 1, Garcia lost at the No.2, Fatima Nemi Revilla lost at the No.3, Ahmadi lost at the No. 4, Anya Rajan was defeated at the No. 5, and Kling fell at the No. 6. 

The Regals are back in action next. They are home on Tuesday and host Jessup at 4 pm.
