Head Coach Kevin Judd Gets 100th Win

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. — Cal Lutheran men's volleyball Head Coach Kevin Judd picked up his 100th win as the Kingsmen swept Rockford and defeated Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday morning. 

It was Judd's 99th and 100th win as the No. 5 Kingsmen improved to 15-5 on the year. Judd has been the head coach since the program started back up in 2016. Cal Lutheran had men's volleyball from 1977-84. 

Cal Lutheran 3, Rockford 0
The Kingsmen made quick work of Rockford winning 25-10, 25-10, 25-17. Up 10-5 in the first set, the Kingsmen scored 12 of the next 13 points and had a commanding lead. The domination set the tone for the match as the Kingsmen then cruised through the second and third sets. 

The team impressed with a hitting percentage of .500 and 12 Kingsmen tallied a kill. Ben Weber led the way with eight kills and Connor Crawford and Jordan Cooper had five. The Kingsmen had two setters see time as Taylor Marks had 16 assists and Grant Hughes added 11. T. Marks served four aces and his brother Logan Marks had eight digs. 

Cal Lutheran 3, MSOE 1
The Kingsmen continued to dominate their Midwest competition, defeating all four teams on their road trip. They won the match 25-21, 25-15, 24-26, 25-21. After a close first set, the Kingsmen turned it on in the second. Up 7-5, the Kingsmen scored five straight and took a big lead. They coasted the rest of the way and went up 2-0 in the match. The Raiders got the win in the third set avoiding the sweep, but the Kingsmen finished the match in four. 

T. Marks recorded his fifth double-double of the year and had 46 assists with 14 digs. He showed off an all-around game with four kills, four aces, and one block. Cooper led the offensive attack with 14 kills, Michael Stahl was next with 12 and Weber had 10. Stahl also added his fifth double-double of the year and had 13 digs to add to his kill count. Matthew Wilcox and Borys Horiuk controlled the net with five and four kills, respectively. 

The Kingsmen return home for their next competition and hist the Cal Lu Fornia Invitational. They start on March 6th at 6 pm.
